The mission of the Coastal Conservation League is to protect the threatened resources of South Carolina — its natural landscapes, abundant wildlife, clean water, and quality of life — by working with citizens and government on proactive, comprehensive solutions to environmental challenges.

The Southern Environmental Law Center believes that everyone in this region deserves to breathe clean air, drink clean water, and live in a healthy environment. SELC works effectively at the national, regional, state, and local level to create, strengthen, and enforce the laws and policies that determine the beauty and health of our environment.
